Bitmoji, and the company behind it — Bitstrips — has grown in popularity. Snapchat bought Bitstrips earlier this year for around $100 million,In the last month,Snapchat announced you can now use Bitmoji within the app.After my roommates recommendation, I immediately downloaded Bitmoji to try it out. The app is available for both iPhone and Android.
I was tickled by how much they look like me — and the variety of emotions they represent.
Users download an app, and then pick from a variety of face shapes, skin colors, and other features that often result in eerily accurate portrayals. These “bitmojis” then can be put into various different poses or with different accessories, and are readily accessible for mobile communications.
